METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOL.

The anniversary concert and prize-giving in collection with the above on Tuesday night was an unqualified success. The school hall was packed to its utmost capacity. Mr John Chrvstall (Mayor) occupied (lie chair. The following scholars contributed items: —Molly Downes, song and recitation; Margaret Staff and Mona Moore, duet; Mona Moore and Leo Bloomfield, dialogue; Frank Cowley, recitation; Berta Griffin, song: Nina Seadden, song (in character); Rene Hinds, recitation; Elva Moore, Downes, Bernard Chrvstall, dialogue (“Borrowing an umbrella, or a rainy Day."); Rena Hinds and Heir- 4 flier Nat trass, song: Berta Griffin and Thelma Nattrass, dialogue; and ten girls in action song; four girls action song, “Pretty Flowers,” Molly Downes (flower girl), Lylla Robinson pianoforte solo. Much praise is due to Mrs Downes and Mrs Chalk for training the children. Mrs Kendall acted as accompanist. After the programme the prizes were presented by the Superintendent (Mr Huntley). Seven! v- four nice books were awarded. Special prizes were awarded to Molly Downes and Leo Bloomfield (for neatest work done during the year) bv their teachers, Miss Walker and Miss Chalk. Votes of thanks were passed to all who asisted in making the anniversary such a success, including Misses Avis Osborne and Nina Seadden w;ho arranged the decorations and Miss Dolly Brown and others who assisted with the refreshments, which were handed round at the eloe and provided by the ladies of the congregation. Mrs Walls was thanked for the loan of piano, Mr Betty, Miss Strand, Mrs Chalk Dir Moorman and Mrs Kendall for their splendid assistance.
