Messrs Levin and Co. Ltd. have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 17th November, 1922: —
“Quotations New Zealand prime Canterbury lamb, 28/42, 1-Ad; North Island lamb, 28/42, Hid: prime Canterbury mutton. s(i/ti4, !)}d; North Island mutton, s(> <>4, <1(1; ewes, 48/(14, b ; }d; New Zealand prime ox beef, 1(50/220, binds, 4g<l; fores, 3Stl. As compared with last week’s quotations the market is unchanged except as regards mutton which is Ad per lb. dearer. The mutton prices are nominal due to the scarcity of supply.”
