All; LIXI\LATER AT RAXGIOTU. Aft- .). Linklater spoke to a fair aiulieuee at Bangiotn on Saturday night. The weather was very wet. The candidate received an exeellent hearing. A vote of thanks and confidence was carried unanimously. Air 11. Bond occupied the chair and spoke most highly of the candidate as the right man to represent this district in Parliament. He also expressed regret at Air Newman's retirement and took this opportunity of publicly thanking him for what he had done for the district, as its member. A PITTING TRIBUTE. On the occasion of Air Linkln tor’s address at Bulls, on Monday night, Air Walker moved the following motion, which was seconded by Mr AA’. Kearney: “That this huge and representative gathering of electors dcsiires to place on record its appreciation of' the manner in which Air E. Newman has carried out his duties whilst representing this district in Parliament, and expresses its rtgret that circumstances do no! permit him to again offer his services.’' The motion was carried by prolonged acclamation. Both the mover and the seconder stated that they had never been political supporters of Air Newman, but they appreciated the willing way in which lie had always given his services for the good of the district and what a splendid representative he had been. Air J. Linklater addressed the electors at Carnarvon on Tuesday night and received a very attentive hearing. Mr J. McKelvie was in the chair. A vote of thanks, moved by Mr P. Scott, was carried unanimously. No quest ions were asked the candidate. To-night Air -J. Linklater addressee the electors at Levin in conjunction with Air W. 11. Field, ALP., for Olaki. On Saturday night Mr I,inkla ter speaks at Orotia Downs.
