THE HEMP MARKET.
Ulfill COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The High Commissioner's cable, dated 4th instant, reads:—"Hemp, iiumiiu market, easier earlier this week, but closed steady. ‘J’ grade No vein her-January shipments, sold down to £3O 15s; present quotations are: November- January shipments, •O' grade £34: ‘J’ grade £3O 15s, havers. New Zealand market quiet and weaker in sympathy, though values nominally unchanged. No i ransaetions reported.
