Mrs Walton, the organiser, assisted by Mrs Tver worked very hard getting things under way, with the assistance of the girls who were most anxious to do all they eould and who were responsible for the successful decorating of the hall, were able to announce “all clear” well before the time for tlie commencement of the dance. Mr Trueman officiated with his usu>al ability at the door and Mesdames Spring and Ilensky assumed the arduous tasks of the kitchen. The dancing wa> interspersed with musical items and recitations and the evening moved with .-•ueh a swing that the late hour arrived all too soon. Mr East supplied the music and Mr Perreau capably carried out the duties of M.C. The pleasant little affair had the further gratifying result of being financially a success.
