THE FOXTON YOUNG CO-OP-ERATORS’.
SUNBEAM LEAGUE
The above is the name chosen by 20 young Co-operators on the 24th May, when they decided to practice co-operation and thus help the “Fitch for All" movement in N.Z. Alton Francis was elected president, William Francis secretary and John McKniglit correspondent. Thus was formed the first Young Co-opera-tars’ League in the North Island. Certain resolutions to carry out the League’s objects —nafcuely, to learn, practice and teach co-opera-tive principles—were made. It must he clearly understood that the League is for the children, and controlled by the children hut the age of membership is open. Truthfulness and honesty in word and action arc included in the pledge. There is a wide open chance for any member to become sin officer on account of! re-elections eventuating every three months. The only necessilv in joining is to take the pledge and bring along a small contribution for supper. The subscription to cover the rent of the room, is Id per fortnight, or a larger sum if desired. Come to the Town Hall .Supperroom every alternate Monday and become one of our happy family. JOHN MeKNIGHT. Correspondent.
