THE BOY AND THE BANGER.
There is joy, for the hoy has a banger: which he is saving for Sat - urday night. ITe is pleased to remember November is occasion for rockets' loud flipht. ’Twas a shame that the Fftli came on Sunday. But. pooh! What does that matter now! Vouup New Zealand has fixed on the week-end —to-morrow he’ll make the hip row. With banger and boillire and cracker with whiz/.ers ami lizzers and wheels, with skyrockets, spirals and geysers—oh, Guy! \\ hat a festival row! Why worry about dear, anxious mother —who winces at every explode? Who thinks of tlie clay in the powder if a sizz is so pood for a smile'? Boys will be boys and Guy will be payed just as long as there's powder to bunt:.and each parent in turn has the lesson to learn that ’tis treason to do auplit but remember that thus in November the boy and the banger must bang. Therefore, let us lie thankful that Guy will lie hanged and lumped a day earlier than usual this year. —Feildinp Star.
