According to the Express, it is rumoured that a Hunterville business man was a victim recently to the extent, of goods to the value of £5-1 and £‘6 given ns. change on a valueless cheque. We understand (says the Express) he refuses to prosecute because his friends may “smile” at his slack business .methods, but meantime the rogue who “bluffed” him and who is supposed to have a “record,” A probably continuing his thieving tricks elsewhere.
