DAIRY POOL BILL.

AX INTERESTING DIVISION'. Wellington, Last- Might. The report of the special committee oil the Daily Produce Control Bill was tallied in the House this afternoon, after an amendment to refer it back to the committee hud been defeated by -13 voles to 30. The division on [he amendment was interesting. Members very largely disregarded party and voted minor according to the conclusion at which they had arrived as to the merits of the Bill, or as to the need for further consideration, or iu accordance with the views of dairymen in their districts. Five Government supporters voted to have the matter considered further, those members being Mr Dickson (Chalmers), Sir .J'olin Luke (Wellington North), Messrs Lysuar (Gisborne), Malcolm (Clutka), and Wright (Wellington Suburbs). Four of ihe Labour members followed their leader into the lobby to try to defeat the Bill, those who supported the Government being Messrs Bart ram (Grey Lynn), Parry (Auckland Central), and Savage (Auckland West). The Liberals voted fairly solidly to defer the Bill only ime being with the Government, Mr Poland (Ohinemux’i).
