RIFLE SHOOTING.
AVoather conditions lost Saturday were very boisterous, when a practice shoot at 300 yards was held. The westerly sale came in gusts that blew many shots wide of the mark, and of the six riflemen present, only three reached the forties, Messrs Hartley 44, Frankland 43, and Head 44. After the *fti>ot, a Committee meeting was held tit the range, at which it was decided to hold the first shoot next Saturday at 200 yards for .Mr F. Robinson's trophies—first 25/-, second 15/-. Conditions to be the same as at the end of last season, viz., automatic handicaps ; best two shoots out of three to count: ties to lie decided on (a) lowest total handicap (b) the '‘count back." The handicap limit will be 47 at all ranges. Mr Hartley has presented a E.S.A. aperture sight, to be won by the top man at next Saturday’s shoot.
