MAXIMUM PRICES REDUCED

By Order in Council, the maxilntini price- of flour and bread have been reduced in accordance with the nnnouncenienl made in the House recently by I lie TTon. W. Xo-worfhy. The reduced prices are:—For flour, Cin It)- per ton f.o.b. Southern pons and for bread in the main centres of tlie South Island per 2!b loaf, old, cash over the counter; old, booked over counter; (Id cash on delivery and (i'd booked and delivered. The maximum prices of bread sold in the niaiiv centres of the North Island are Id per 21b loaf higher than in the South. The change in the price of Hour is effective from October 30, and of bread price.- from October 30 in the South Inland and November (> in the North Island.
The Orders-in-Cmuicil will be gazetted this week, together with notilicaiion that maximum bread prices, as at present specially fixed by the Board of Trade for small centres, shall throughout the Dominion be reduced by Cl per 21b loaf.
