TROUBLED IRELAND.

IRREGULARS ESCAPE FROM GAOL LONDON. Oct. 17. Thirteen Irregulars escaped from Sligo gaol by filing the bars of a small window and descending by ladders made of strips of blankets and climbing the outer wall by means of a plank. They encountered a body of regulars and homy firing then began throughout the town, with the olXious intention of distracting attention. The military prisoners escaped.— A. and N.Z. cable.
