NEW BRITISH RECORD MADE. THOUSAND POUNDS PRIZE WON. LONDON, Dei. 17. The Aero Club's ' gliding competitions opened on the downs near Lewes. Rayn--1 i.iin remained in die air for 11 minutes, Fokknr seven mimiies with a passenger and later for 37 minute- six second- alone, which is a British record and qualifies for the £IOOO prize for the best flight with a minimum of 30 minutes. —A. and N./. cable.
