WEDDING.
GOLDSWORTHY—MoALPIXI
The wedding took place at iho Marlon Presbyterian Church oil Wednesday last, I,3th ins!., of Miss Ethel MeAlpine, sisier of: Airs G. F. Walls,’ of Marion Junction and youngest daughter of Miami Mrs Peter MeAlpine of “Oak Bank,” Aberfoyle, Scotland, and Mr Leslie R. Goldsworthy, youngest soil of Mr and Mrs. Leslie R. Goldsworthy, of “Cin-raiiiulka,” South Australia. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Air Afelvor. The bride'was aitired in white crepe de chine with silver bead trimmings and the veil and orange blossoms were arranged mob cap fashion, and carried a bouquet of white freesias and maiden hair fern. The bride was given away by her brother-in-law. Air G. F. AYalls. The bridesmaid was AHss Hilda Robinson, of ATarton Junction, who was dressed in pale blue crepe de chine with touches of lemon and black lace, bat, and carried a bouquet of white and pink flowers. Two tiny tols, Ethel May Walls (niece of the bride) and Joan Tyaek, of Marton Junction officiated as flower girls and were cliafiningly attired in pale pink crepe de chine frocks with lace frills and mob caps to match and carried baskets of flowers. Air Basil Walls, of Foxton, officiated as best man. After the wedding a reception was hold at the residence of the bride's sister, Airs G. F. Walls. “Aleadowvnle," Burnside Road, ALirfoii Junction. After the customary toasts were duly honoured, the bride and bridegroom left on their honeymoon for a tour of [lie North Island by motor ear. The bride travelled in a" nigger brown gabardine costume with biscuit coloured tngel straw hat and veil to match. Airs G. AYalls, the bride’s sisier, was attired in a navy blue costume willi bat to match. Among the numerous wedding gifts was a beautiful three-decker wedding cake, the gift of Ah’ and Airs .T. AYalls, of Foxton. The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a set of gold sleeve links, and the bridegroom's present to the bride was a handsome gold pendant; and to the bridesmaid a gold bangle and gold wishbone brooches to Iho flower girls. Mr and Airs L. R. Goldsworthy leave early next month for their future home which will be in South Australia.
