FOXTON ATHLETIC CLUB.

The above club did nol; meet with a great deal of success at the outset but at a recent general meeting it was decided to'delete the word “Amatenr” and since then a greater enthusiasm has been evinced. At a general meeting of the club held on Tuesday night it was decided that the club hold their first sports meeting on Tuseday, January 2nd., 1923, at Easton Park. The dub is to be affiliated with the New Zealand Association and this will mean that runners from all parts of the Dominion will compete at this meeting. The club is also convening a meeting to be held in the Town Hall supper-room on Tuesday next, for the purpose of re-organising a band locally and everyone interested in same should be in attendance.
