ATTACK IN A BEDROOM.
DUNEDIN, Oct. 12. Mr W. H. Ballinger, a well-known Wellington racehorse owner, was attacked in a bedroom of an hotel early this morning. He was awakened by a noise and inquired : “Who is there V” lie then received a glancing blow oil the head from some weapon, sustaining, however, only an abrasion. The intruder escaped without any booty.
