FIRE BOARD.

A meeting of the local members of the Fox ton Fire Board was held on Thursday night-. Present: Messrs J. Chrystall (chairman), Bryant, Homblow, A. X. Smith and H, Franklnnd (secretary).

The plans and specifications of the fire station were received from the architects and discussed at length. The chairman consented to confer with the architects re certain suggested alterations, after which they will be forwarded to the Wellington members of the Board and Superintendent Hugo for approval. Tenders will then be called for the erection of the building. Mr Smith and the secretary were authorised to order the uniforms for brigadesmen.
