Nosworthy stated in tho House to-day that ho would consult tho Premier as to what steps should be taken to givo effect to iho proposed dairy pool, and ho would let the Houso know what the decision was in the course of a day or two. In this connection he wished to say that if a control Bill is brought down and becomes law it will deal exclusively with tho export of butter and not butter for domestic consumption. At a meeting of representatives of dairy factories who opposo or aro not in favour of the control of dairy produce, held at Now Plymouth a few days ago, the following resolutions were carried “That this meeting of co-operative dairy factory representatives request the Government to sot up a special Parliamentary Committee to take evidence in connection with the proposed Dairy Produce Control Act, such committee to hear representatives of any company desiring to offer it.” “That tho Bill as drafted be submitted to all dairy companies in New Zealand prior to it going before Parliament, and time be given for the shareholders to oonsider the proposals contained in the Bill.”
