PRISONERS RELEASED.
AMERICAN BANDITS’ EXPLOIT. NEW YORK, Sept. 25. A sensational gaol delivery such as seems to have become typical throughout the Middle West States, occurred last night at St. Paul, Minnesota, and the sequel was enacted to-day. Twelve bandits from Kansas City, bent upon releasing then chief imprisoned in the country gaol m the heart of the city, got off a train m a suburb of Minneapolis, robbedl n bank and escaped with 17.000 dollars They arrived at the gaol last night and gamed admittance by posing as revenue officers dean ing 10 lock up several prisoners for the night. Once inside, they quickly overpowered the guards and sought the cell of then chief, hut wore unable to effect his release because they could not find the key of his cell An attempt to break the look also failed, but they did release several prisoners whom fhev recognised as friends and then escaped.
