TROUBLED IRELAND.
PRISONER’S ESGAPE FROM GAOL. TUNNEL MADE TO THE ROAD. LONDON. Sept. 25. It is reported that 39 Irregular prisoners escaped from the county gaol in Cork by tunnelling to a disused ventilator shaft, whence they reached a manhole in the road outside. Only two have been recaptured.—A. and N.Z. cable.
