FOXTON TENNIS CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the above was held in Ross’ Buildings on Tuesday evening. There ■was a good attendance of members. Dr. Rowley was elected chairman.

Robinson, Esq.: President, Air E. Me Murray (subject to his acceptaiico); Vice-presidents. Messrs F. S. Easton and W. E. Barber (subject to their acceptance) ; secretary. A. Brophy: treasurer, H. Frankland; committee, Misses Austin, Beard, Neylon, K. Barber, Mrs s, Austin, Dr. Wyllie, Messrs AY. Boss, Bryant, M.- Robinson. E. Jackson; match committee, Dr, Bowlev. Dr. Wyllie. Mr E. Jackson. It wa> decided to open the season •u Saturday week, October 7th. Decided that the title deed to the (‘lab's property he deposited at the Bank of N.Z. for safe custody.

It was proposed and seconded that the title to section he transferred from the guarantors to the fenns ('lull, and that the Club beet ne incorporated. —(tarried. A snh-committee consisting of Dr. Rowley, Mr E. Jackson and the Secretary, was appointed to attend to die details of incorporation. It was decided that the annual -übseription he raised to £1 IDs for gentlemen, and 15s for ladies, sub--cription for members under 1(5 to remain at ss. A hearty vote of thunks.to the retiring secretary (Mr R. Shaw) was carried unanimously. The Chairman and others spoke appreciatively of Mr Shaw’s efforts and keenness on behalf of the Club. A “working bee' was arranged to carry out repairs at the courts. A vole of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting*.
