We are informed that a jazz band has been formed locally, and will make its first appearance at the Town Ha 11 to-morrow night. We have to acknowledge on liehalf of the Reach Improvement Committee 10* from Mr Owen, for additions to the hall. Further donations are solicited for this deserving object. There are no startling developments from the Near East, except that a better understanding has been arrived at between Britain, France and Italy to deal with the situation.

At the recent euchre party the orchestra, accompanied by Miss Del any on the piano, played a number of selections during the progress of the tournament, which was much appreciated by the players.
