THE FAMOUS DIGGERS NEW REAL GIRL SHOW.

TOWN HALL, FOXTON, TUESDAY, NEXT, SEPTEMBER 26,^

Chaperoned under Jimmy Norton, a clever comedian-producer, wellknown throughout America as “That London Boy,” the Famous Diggers new real girl show takes on a distinctiveness that makes it even more attractive than ever. He is undoubtedly one of the best comedians and eccentric dancers ever seen in this country.

Among the old favourites of the Diggers who still remain with the show are Joe Valli the famous Scottish comedian, Gus Dawson, the light comedian and dancer, Tano Fama, comedian, and Stan Lawson, the “misleading lady.” The latter who is going to take a big engagement in America next year, will be with the Diggers for a few months longer when the public will have a chance of seeing him in both male and female characters.

The ballet and chorus consisting of “The Superb Six,” a very beautiful bevy of real girls, is calculated to set young men dreaming and everyone applauding. Their dresses should challenge comparison with the best, as an experienced theatrical modiste was brought over from Melbourne for the purpose - superintending the designing and making of them. These are dull, stifling, gloomy times which carry with them the groping tentacles of despondency, and a company such as the Diggers present and the lively lilts of a firstclass orchestra help us to forget that mortgages are coming due, that wool is not worth much, that troubles are near us or about us, and for over two and a half hours we live in the realms of make-believe enjoying ourselves with all our might. Among items are “The Bride’s Trousseau,” a miniature musical comedy, “The Jtest Cure,” “The Follies Fancy Dress Ball” in the roof-garden scene, “Breaking into ( Gaol,” a real scream, “The Butterfly Ballet” and a number of other items which serve to introduce the latest song hits.
