METHODIST CHURCH.
The ladies of the church guild were entertained on Wednesday afternoon in the school hall by Mrs Berry. A most enjoyable time was spent. A kitchen articles competition was won by Mrs Mitt:lie. Owing to the retirement of Mrs W. Bullard from the position of president, Mrs G. Honore was elected to the position and Mrs S. E. Cow'ley was elected secretary. Arrangements were made for certain furnishings at the parsonage.
A most enjoyable progressive games evening was field in the Town Hall supper-room on Tuesday evening, upwards of 50 persons attending. The ladies’ prize was won by Mrs Renton, Master Ball securing the witling place amid the gentlemen. A dainty supper was provided by the hostesses, Mesdames Bullard, ChrvstalJ, Osborne and Parkin. The ladies prize was generously donated by Mr John Golder. A hearty vote of thanks to the ladies concluded the evening.
