SPRING SHOW.
ARRANGEMENTS WELL IN HAND. w~~' J ' ‘ Judging by fhe exceptionally fine weather experienced on the whole, the last few weeks, the Horticultural Society’s Spring show to be held to-morrow, should' be a very successful exhibition. The mild winter has allowed bulbs and other blooms to come on well and early, and it is anticipated there will be large entries in the bulb classes. The demand for schedules and entry forms during the past month indicates that great interest is being taken in the show, and it is confidently anticipated that all sections including decorative, cookery, etc., will be filled. ' The officers and committee have all arrangements well in hand. The . stewards appointed are capable and experienced, and will do their best "in the interests of exhibitors and the public. The tea and supperrooms are to be conducted by Mesdames Pearson and Heasman and assistants, which is a guarantee of the best. A community sing will be given a trial during the evening under the leadership of Mr Aitken, of Moutoa. The secretary (Mi 1 H. Frank- . land) wishes us to request exhibi--r' tors to bring their exhibits to the hall by 9 a.m. to-morrow, or as soon after as possible. No exhibits to be placed after 11 a.m. and all exhibitors are to retire at that hour. The secretary will be at the hall on Saturday morning to return exhibits to those claiming same. Entries are now being received at Ross’ Buildings. Late entries till 10 a.m. to-morrow, each late entry ' 1/-.
