ALIENATED AFFECTIONS.
HEAVY DAMAGES CLAIMED. SUIT IN UNITED STATES. NEW YORK, Aug. 26. Mrs Kendrick has brought a suit against Mrs Wakefield, claiming 30,000 dollars damages for alienation of her husband’s affections. She has also filed a suit for divorce and 100 dollars per month alimony. —A. and N.Z. cable. [A cablegram received last week staled that Mrs Edith Spreckles Wakefield, aged 39, who is divorced from a millionaire and the mother of three children, the eldest being 19, offered Mrs Rodney Kendrick, who is 24 and dying of tuberculosis, 100 dollars a month for the rest of her life if she would permit Kendrick, who is a nowspaper artist, aged 39, to live with her.J
