MR. HINE RE-ELECTED. Te Kuiti, This Day. Mr Hine, who was recently charged with a technical offence under the Municipal - Corporations Act, and was consequently compelled to resgn the Mayoral chair, was returned to the office at a special meeting of the Borough Council last night. The action following the receipt of a letter from the Borough Solicitor, who incidentally happens to be Mr Hine’s business partner, terminating his solicitorship, thus permitting Hine to stand again, as he is no longer “interested” within the meaning of the Act.
