Wanganui, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-dav J. A. Dawkins, for theft of a' postal packet at Mangaweka, was sentenced to twelve months’ reformative with a recommendation to be sent to an industrial school until lie is 21 years of" age. His Honour pointed out that the nature of the offence was one in which lie could not grant probation, except in very exceptional circumstances, and commented on the seriousness of the offence of interferring wi’fh letters passing through the Post Office.
