New Zealand Government relative to the purchase, of New Zealand butter. This afforded members an opportunity to discuss dairy problems and a general debate ensued. The Hon. W. Nosworthy, replying to the debate, said he was not convinced of the necessity for a commercial agent in London apart from the High Commissioner’s office for the study of the London markets was not a matter for divided control. CoOperative combination amongst the producers was, ho thought, the true remedy, rather than State control. lie recognised that the strict culling of dairy herds was necessary. Good breeding, good feeding and severe culling were, he thought, the three great essentials to the dairy industry, bid he recognised that everything could not be done at once.
