BIG REFORM RALLY.
BANQUET TO MR- NEWMAN, M.P. AND PUBLIC MEETING. Wlial promises to be the biggest Reform rally yet held in 'the Manawatu will take place at Foxton on Monday evening. At 6 o’clock "Mr Edward Neuhpai", M.P., will be entertained by his supporters throughout the constituency at a banquet in the Masonic Hall. Applications for tickets for this function have come in from all parts of this and the adjoining constituencies. Among those who will be Jn attendance will be the Prime Minister (Right Hon. Wm. Massey), Hon. D. H. Guthrie (Minister for Railways), Hon. W. Noswort'hy (Minister for Agriculture), Sir Thomas McKenzie, M.L.C., Sir John Luke, Messrs Hockley, K. S. Williams, J. R, Hamilton, W. H Field, W. S. Glenn, J. A. Nash, David Jones, R. F. Bollard, M’s.P., together with representative public men tkroughonl the district. The toast list at the banquet will only include three (oasts, namely “the Guest,” “Government,” and “Mr Linklater, the Reform candidate.” Mr B. P. Lethbridge, ex M.P., and an old friend of Mr Newman, will propose the principal toast. The principal speeches will be delivered in the Town Hall, when public tribales will be made to the services rendered by Mr Newman. The stage will bo occupied by the visiting Parliamentarians and speakers.
The Parliamentary Party will arrive at Levin by the Auckland express and will be motored to Foxton by the Levin Committee and will remain overnight in Foxton, leaving die following morning in time to connect with (lie Auckland express ar Levin. The dress circle at the Town Hall will lie reserved for ladies and their escorts.

During, the evening, Mr Joseph Linklater, the Reform candidate, will also be introduced to the eonMitnents.
Ti will be many years before Foxton will be afforded an opportunity of participating in such an unique political gathering.
