RULING BUTTER PRICES. Christchurch, August 14. A reduction of one penny per lb was made in the wholesale price of first-grade Canterbury butter this morning, this action being in sympathy with the lower l'ates now ruling for New Zealand butter on the London market. The retail pi'ice of standard brands is now Is lOd per lb, butter in grocers’ own wrappers being sold at Is 9d.
