MAGAZINE REVIEWS.

We have received from the publishers (per Mr R. L. Heath, bookseller), the following magazines:—

The Premier Magazine.—This magazine, June 13th issue, introduces to us a new writer of sea stories, a writer who has in his words the tang of salt water, the calling of summer winds, the deep throated music of the gale. His name is Bill Adams and after enjoying his first story, “Mersey Men,” readers will be on the look out for further contributions from this writer, which, by the way, the editor of Premier Magazine promises. The Chronicles of the Odds On Club by Edward Woodward, are continued and there are fine stories by Albert Terhune, Charles Ivngston, 0. F. Lewis and a host of other popular writers. The Premier is bound in an attractive pictorial cover. The Red Magazine.—This magazine for June 23, contains a list of charming and interesting stories by foremost authors and is bright and snappy throughout. “The Captain” for July is an Interesting edition and well up to the usual standard and contains among other stories a special cricket article by D. J. Knight.
