THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The High Commissioner’s cable, dated 29th inst., reads: —“Hemp, manila market, quiet but firm, “J” grade, August-October shipments, sold up to £3l, ‘G’ August-October shipments - quoted sellers £33 15s. New Zealand slow, little inquiry from consumers but at very low ; prices, high points, July-September '-•-T shipments, sold £3l 10s, fair quoted £3O 10s.
