THE GOVERNAIENT’S INTENTIONS ASKED. Air E. Newman (Manawatu) has given notice in the House to ask the Alinister of Lands whether it is the intention of the Government to take over the lloutoa Estate, near Foxton, for close settlement? [Note. —It is reported that the owners of this property have objected to the valuation placed thereon by the Valuation Department, and have requested that, failing a satisfactory agreement as to values for taxation purposes, the Government shall take over the property.]
