FOXTON RACING CLUB.

To-morrow night’s annual meeting of members of the above club, promises to be a record in point of attendance and interest. The election of three stewards for which there are ten nominations, indicates a close contest and we are pleased to notice that the club bars plumping. Three of the sitting stewards, namely Messrs Bryant, H. Coley, and Hammond are up for re-elec-tion. The position of the club, as disclosed by the balance-sheet, reflects credit upon the present administration. For a country club to possess several thousand pounds worth of assets with liabilities nil is something to be proud of and is certainly unique. Discussion on certain proposed amendments to the by-laws should afford au opportunity to members to express their views on club matters generally.
