The remains of an apparently fully developed female child were found to-day in some trees off Park Street. A superficial examination made by a medical man failed to disclose definitely whether the child had breathed, and a post mortemi will be held. DEATH ON FOOTBALL FIELD. Hamilton, Saturday. While playing football on Saturday E. Smallwood, aged fifteen years, was tackled and fell to the ground. He resumed playing arid on being again tackled was seen to be ill and was taken to the dressing shed and attended by two doctors. He died twenty minutes later of concussion of the brain and concussion of the chest. All matches were abandoned. The deceased was a son of Mr Sidney Smallwood, plumbing foreman in (lie employ of the Railway Department at Frnnkton.
