LADIES’ SOCIAL GUILD
A most enjoyable social afternoon was spent at the Parsonage®yesterday, when the ladies of the Church were entertained by Mrs Mini fie. A novel competition in the form of a street object scene was won by Miss Chalk. Resolutions tending to make the social afternoons even more interesting and attractive were passed unanimously. A list offlios- , tesses for a considerable period was ‘ also arranged. A communication from the church officials asking for a sale of work on Wednesday next was discussed. However, as it was announced to the meeting that the Anglican Guild was holding a function on that date it was decided to postpone the sale of work until Wedne&'day, 26th. inst. arrangements were made for the Anils, and competitions on that (late. An •invitation from Mrs M. Walker to hold the next social afternoon at her residence was heartily accepted.
