THE LATEST MAGAZINES.
We have received from the publishers, Messrs Gordon and Gotch Ltd, per Mr R. Heath, the following copies of the latest magazines:—
THE LONDON. From the smart and artistic cover “A Bunch of Violets,” to the end of the last story, the London Magazine for June, just out, is of fascinating interest. Special articles that claim attention are “The Future of the ‘Worker,” by Sir William J. Noble, Bart,, and “Can Everest be Conquered” by Capt. F. A. N. Webster, F.R.G.S. The latter article is of peculiar interest at the •present time and is illustrated with photographs taken and drawings made by members of the previous expedition. Fiction is provided by John Galsworthy (a complete story) and Eden Phillpotts, 11. Mortimer, Batten, John Buchan, etc., whilst the London picture pages, an illusrated story of “The Wheel,” the latest success at the Apollo Theatre, London, and other features make the June “London Magazine” an outstanding' number. THE RED MAGAZINE. The Red Magazine, May 20, contains a long complete story by E. Norman Torry, “The Acid Test.” Fred N. White is represented by a complete story, “The Lure of the Printed Word,” Edmund-Snell continues his series, “The Amazing Adventurer,” and among other contributors are Ralph Durand, Leslie sißeresford and Owen Olliver The Red Magazine, which is illustrated is tin all fiction magazine and is a delightful companion these'-winter evenings.
