HAWKE’S BAY-MA NAWATU

DISTRICT.

Upwards of 18 ministers will arrive in Foxton on Monday afternoon in oredr to attend Council Session, which will close on Wednesday evening. On Monday evening' in the Methodist Hall, a welcome social will be tendered the visitors. Musical and elocutionary items will be rendered by local talent, assisted by several of the visiting ministers. Addresses of welcome will be given bv Mr John ChrystaLL(Mayor) and olliers. Refreshments will be provided. A collection will be made in aid of expenses. On Wednesday evening in the church, a centenary rally will be held. The speakers for the occasion will be the Rev. Dr. Laws, President of the N.Z. Methodist Church, and Rev. A. C. Lawry, secretary of the Centenary Committee. A choir of some 25 trained voices, under the capable conductorship of Mr Harold Osborne, will contribute anthems and lead the service singing. All members, adherents and friends of the Church ai’e cordially invited to be present at both the welcome social and the Centenary Rally.
