ST. MARY’S CONVENT
SALE OF WORK. The sale of work in aid of the convent funds was held in the Catholic schoolroom on Thursday and yesterday afternoon and evening. There were good attendances throughout and 1 the result of the effort both fi’oxn a financial and social point of view was a great success. At times the building was a little over-crowded, but this did not interfere with business. Airs Murphy presided in the Hall of Destiny and the following are the names of the various stall holders: —Fancy Stall, Mrs O’Donnoghue and Mrs Jacobsen; Plain Stall, Airs Hynes and Airs W. Smith; Refreshment Stall, Miss Bonfield and assistants; Produce, All’s Bert Dunn; Novelty Stall, The Misses Wood ruffe and Desmond; Bran Tub, Aliss Follas arid Aliss E. Bowe; Hooplah, Air Carmine. Musical items were contributed by Misses Upton, M. Hynes, K. Roore, Af. Are Coll, K. and M. Desmond, and Alessrs Seymour Small and AI. Francis. A word of praise is due to the Sisters and the commiilee for excellent manner in which all the details were carried out. We are asked to especially thank all who in any way assisted to make the sale a success.
