Two -tar features will he shown ;.t the Royal Pictures 10-nigbfc. the first of which is Edna Murphy and Johnnie Walker in "The Jolt.” a story of acute human interest. It deals with a gangster who came hack from overseas with a French bride and found it difficult to obtain honest employment. In desperation he resorted to his fortner methods. Fate intervened and the young man was won back to the straight and narrow path by bis charming wife. The second feature is "Faith." a stirring new William Fox photoplay starring Peggy Hyiand. This is said to he a decidedly strong play, showing the star at her best. The story is of love and adventure and the wicked designs of two scheming persons who plan !o wreck happiness and win the fortune of a lovely Scotch lassie. They don’t succeed —hut meanwhile there is some thrilling work going on. A fitting example of how a successful stage play can he made into an even more successful motion picture will be presented on Friday. The production is “The Great Adventure,” which as a stage play helped make Arnold Bennett famous. The picture, a First National Attraction will help make Lionel Barrymore more famous. No less than a dozen other screen favourites appear in support of Mr Barrymore, thus affording this production the distinction of being one of the real all-star pictures, with a national star in the main role.
