WEDDING.
A wedding of local interest in that the bride is a native of Foxton, took place on March 11, at '
Christ Church, Lavender Bay, Sydeny, celebrated by the Rev. A. J. Turner, when Miss Elvina Evelyn Alsdorf, youngest daughter of ‘the late Mr Walter Alsdorf, of Foxton, New Zealand, was united to Mr Jack Middleton, second son of the late Mr C. Philpot Middleton and Mrs C. Middleton, of “Willurei,” Randwiek. The bride was given away hy Mr Vincent Slooombe and Mr W. G. Saxon was best. man. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at Loosen’s, King Street, among those pi'esent being Mrs Middleton (mother of the bridegroom), Mrs Otto Carr (sister of the bride), and Mr 0. Carr; Mrs Glen Best and Miss Middleton (sisters of the bridegroom), Mr and Mrs P. Best, Mrs Vincent Slocombe, and Mrs Hooper. Later, Mr and Mrs Jack Middleton left for Mount Victoria, where they were to spend their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a smart putty garbardine costume, with turban to match.
