ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
There was a fair attendance al the meeting held last night for the purpose of forming an Association Football Club.
It was unanimously decided that a club be formed and that the Council be approached for permission to form a ground on Victoria Park; that a further meeting be held in Mr Perreau’s rooms next Wednesday for the purpose of electing a management committee, selecting club colours, etc. The following officers were elected:—Patron, J. Chrystall Esq.: President, Mr M. E. Perreau; VicePresidents, Messrs D. W. Robertson, J. K. Hornblow, John Ross and R. L. Heath; Secretary, J. Madden. At the conclusion of the meeting a vote of thanks was accorded to Mr Perreau for the use of his rooms. Mr McColl (ex Scottish professional)' has generously offered to coach the club’s players and anyone wishing to .participate in this healthy sport should hand their names lo ihe secretary. *•
