THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist wires at noon to-day as follows: — The indications are for variable and strong breezes, but easterly moderate to strong prevailing,, and freshening, and backing by east to north. Expect dull weather, with much mist and fog in parts. Heavy rain is to he expected. Barometer falling. S<gts considerable, tides poor.
