PAPAKURA CONCERT
The music-loving, people of Foxton who failed to hear the Papakura Concert Company in the Town Hall last night missed one of the most talented concert combinations that has ever appeared locally. The marked appreciation of each item and the recalls indicated the enthusiasm of the audience. The flattering press criticism which have appeared are fully justified and there is no need to “paint the lily.” New Zealand afid the Maori race has just cause to feel proud of such talented vocalists as the Rev. Papakura and Madame Rena Te Au. The other artists supporting those two are in the first flight of professional fame with particular reference to the brilliant violin virtuoso, Louis Alsace. The company can he assured of a bumper house should they ever re-visit Foxton.
