BOWLING.

The Secretary of the local Club has received intimation that the Palmerston North Club intend closing .their green on Saturday next. A progressive competition will he held on that day, and it is desired that the Foxlon Club be represented bv one rink.

The finals in the Wilford Cup Singles Competition were played recently, and resulted in a win for C. A. Pearson. In the semi-finals Pearson beat Huntley by 25 to 1(5, the game only reaching the 19th head. In the final game Pearson beat D. Whibley play in both games was good, and Pearson merited his win with a very good exhibition of drawing.
