PLUNKET SOCIETY
The monthly meeting was held in the 1 Junket room on Tuesday, May 2nd. There were present: Mesdames Austin-Johnston (in the chair), Halliday, McMurray, Ross, Chrystnll, Hynes and Cowley. Several apologies for absence were received. An account from the Herald for 8s was passed for payment. The lion. Secretary reported that the Beach shop day realised i;7 l<)s 3d and there was still, some unsold goods on hand. Mrs AAyllie’s election to the committee was confirmed. The Nurse’s report showed adult visits to room 35, babies 38, a total of 73. The Nurse paid four visits to homes during the month. Owing to Nurse Kidd developing a serious illness (he branch was without a Nurse for Friday 7th, April one of the committee intended at the room in her stead. Nurse Foster has been appointed relieving nurse for the present. The members wish Nurse Kidd a speedy recovery.
