ROYAL PICTURES
At. the Royal to-night, for men only, will be presented “Damaged Goods,” the inner story of the consequences of sin portrayed in a powerful presentation. The plot deals with the disease which has been held an unmentionable thing for centuries, But it is related so dramatically, so cleanly and interestingly, that it must necessarily interest everyone and offend none. Just novel, “Damaged Goods” was feeble compared to the drama produced on the stage, so is that spoken version feeble when compared to the seven electrifying, thrilling reels of the photoplay. The lesson that Eugene Brieux teaches is brought out by the camera in a form so gripping as to make it get at the very heart strings of the spectator. It'is pointed out that to-night’s session is for men only, and the prices will 7 be Is and Is 6d, plus tax. A special matinee for women will be held at 2.30 p.m. to-morrow.
Carmel Myers will be the stellar attraction to-morrow evening, in “The Dangerous Moment,” a Universal screen play made under the dir=ection of Marcel de Sano. Fast action, love interest and spontaneous humour are blended into the theme so cleverly that “The Dangerous Moment” will probably be pronounced by. playgoers to be Miss Myers’ most' enterprising picture. “The Lure of the Circus” will be shown as an extra.
