Manawatu Herald SATURDAY, APRIL 22, 1922. LOYALTY FIRST.

THE Mannwatn Branch of the N.Z. Labour Party lias not. yet made public ils choice of a candidate for this electorate at the forthcoming: general election, •although il is rumoured that “the’man for Galway” has been chosen. As we have stiid previously, the “Reds” are probably the best organised political party in the Dominion, and no matter how opponents may differ from them politically, it cannot he denied that they are enthusiastic /ampaignors. Indeed, we believe that (heir propaganda and militancy has compelled a deeper interest in matters political both on the part of politicians' and individual 'electors. In this, then, they have rendered, service to the State. The eyes of young New Zealand, however,, are now open to the dangers of Bolshevism, and while extremists, as represented by ' the N.Z. Labour Party, may cunningly cover their tracks on the hustings to catch the unwary, their ultimate objective cannot be concealed. Until the N.Z. Labour Party make loyalty to King and Constitution its first plank, it will strive in vain for the reins of Government, despite whatever (nullificationsits candidates may possess.
