ROYAL PICTURES.
Charles Ray, in “Nineteen and Phyllis,” will be the attraction at the Royal to-night. This is Mr Ray’s third release since becoming an independent star and and in view of the remarkable success which attended his initial independent productions, keenest inter-: est is being manifested in this latest production. “Nineteen and Phyllis” is from an original story, and is one of the very best vehicles yet provided for the young star. In this most recent production Ray again makes something of a departure from his customary “rube” role, this time appearing in the part of a small town dandy. As an extra, ‘‘The Terror Trail will he shown, and a comedy, “Sauce and Senoritas,” will also he included in the programme. The prices of admission will be fid and Is Id. On Monday, Madge Kennedy will appear in “Strictly Confidential,” a feature presented by arrangement with J. C. Williamson Films (a Goldw.vn picture). This is a romantic story of a young lady who met and married the heir to Bantock Castle, and found that her servants were her relatives. Tliey, however, refused to recognise the relationship, and began to train her for her new position, and she is thoroughly cowed by the . restrictions with which they hedge their lady. But her right is asserted, and she runs the servants, and is not ruled by them, and even Bennett, the old butler, becomes human and admits that the first Lady Bantock was a former butcher’s daughter,
